PIPELINE PROJECT TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS CONTROL AND COMPLIANCE
This review is especially critical to the industry as it highlights the advantages of taking a broad approach to obtain and maintain compliance in today’s Oil & Gas regulatory environment. The focus will be on pipeline monitoring regulations - Department of Transportation (DOT) – Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and American Petroleum Institute (API) recommended practices: API 1164 (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System - SCADA Security), API 1165 (SCADA Displays), API 1167 (SCADA Alarm Management) and API 1168 (Control Room Management).

ULS Implementation in Brazil - Petrobras Experience
This review covers the period of 2011-2013 when the authors were directly involved in the project. Petrobras created an internal program for improving storage and transportation efficiency of ultra low sulfur products. This program were responsible for ensuring that Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (S10) would be available by January 1st, 2013 to comply with a legal requirement.

CRM Review
This project involved DILOs (day in the life of) analysis of current state operations and detailed analysis of: volume of desk alarms, number and reason for phone call interactions, and desk action analysis. However, once an initial analysis was completed, the client was invited to meet with best practice companies and review their own efforts at CRM and design as well as implementation of the new PHMSA safety recommendations and regulation.
